Volunteers Needed for Pickaway Emergency Shelter

As you may have noticed, we have a growing population of homeless in Pickaway County.  It's getting cold and we have a solution!

We are super excited to announce the opening of the Pickaway County Emergency Shelter!  However, the ability to launch it depends on obtaining volunteers to operate it during the cold nights.  The shelter will only be operational and volunteers needed during the cold nights when the temperature is 32 degrees or less.  The shelter is located at the Circleville First Church, 436 E. Ohio Street, Circleville, 43113.    Other volunteer opportunities are also available.

The Pickaway County Emergency Shelter will provide a warm place for individuals who do not fit the criteria for the Haven House or Hope House or in the event those shelters are full.

We are seeking volunteers to help in the following areas:

MOST NEEDED - Volunteers to stay at the shelter 8pm-8am (shifts available) (Minimum of 2 per shift-1 male/1 female)

Volunteer coordinator
